Rancilio Home Confinement Services - Products
The following are some of the products that Rancilio
Home Confinement Services offers to our clients.
SMART® PASSIVE
GPS TRACKING SYSTEM
SMART®
Passive Tracking offers conventional house arrest plus permanent
historical record of offender movement on a daily basis. SMART®
Passive Tracking is truly advanced technology. It not only ensures
offenders are within the confines of their homes, but by utilizing
the Global Positioning System (GPS) and our patented SMART®
(Satellite Monitoring And Remote Tracking) technology, it also
monitors their movements outside the home. All for about the same
cost per day as conventional house arrest systems.
How Does it Work?
SMART® Passive Tracking utilizes Pro Tech's state of the art
Miniature Tracking Device (MTD), which combines our proven GPS,
based technology with our tracking software. The MTD is a small,
rugged device that clips on an offender's belt and is "tethered" to
the offender using a tamper-resistant ankle bracelet. The high
sensitivity GPS receiver tracks offenders when outside the home,
even in low signal environments. When the MTD is placed in the
Charger Base Unit, charging commences and the MTD reports all
offender information to Pro Tech's Offender Tracking Center (OTC)
via a landline. At the same time, the MTD reports all offender
information to Pro Tech's Surveillance Data Center (SDC) via
landline. Immediately an offender's tracking history, including
violations, becomes available to authorities. This information can
be accessed at any time by utilizing Pro Tech's PCE mapping software
and a secure Internet connection.
OTHER KEY POINTS: Latest upgrades to the
Passive System include: The addition of point and click reference
labels on the maps, inclusion and exclusion zones, notification of
violation cleared, one-time schedule changes, and expanded reporting
capabilities.
SMART® ACTIVE
GPS TRACKING SYSTEM
Unlike
conventional electronic monitoring devices, SMART® Active Tracking
offers a means of intensive supervision at an affordable price. It
tracks an offender closely and effectively, 24/7 using Global
Positional System (GPS) location information and the wireless
network.
How does it work?
The key components of the SMART® Active Tracking System are a
Miniature Tracking Device (MTD), ankle bracelet, charging stand, and
GPS satellites. Offenders are fitted with a tamper-resistant ankle
bracelet and assigned a PTD to keep near them at all times. The
ankle bracelet acts as an "electronic tether" which transmits
signals to the MTD.
The MTD uses GPS signals and a wireless network to
locate and report an of fender's every move. The MTD monitors the
signal strength of the GPS satellites to ensure accurate location
information and incorporates a motion detector to monitor movement
in areas of insufficient GPS signal strength. Pro Tech's Offender
Tracking Center (OTC) monitors this information. The PTD is equipped
with an LCD, used to notify the offender of violations and for
sending text messages from the agency. This patented communication
capability has demonstrated it's effectiveness in modifying offender
behavior and reducing recidivism.
Authorities can even create multiple Inclusion and
Exclusion zones, and be notified by fax, pager or email whenever a
zone violation occurs.
BI
9000 RADIO FREQUENCY TETHER
The
BI 9000 Series provides agencies with a radio frequency based
electronic monitoring system that delivers maximum durability,
flexibility, and reliability. Pairing traditional electronic
monitoring components and unique service options, the system can be
easily integrated with a variety of monitoring products and
treatment programs or used alone as an effective curfew compliance
system.
How Does the BI 9000 Work?
The BI 9000 Series uses standard electronic monitoring
components—the BI 9000 field monitoring device (FMD) and the BI 9010
transmitter. The transmitter is worn by an offender and the field
monitoring device is connected to the existing power and phone lines
in the offender's home. Using radio frequency technology, the
receiver monitors the presence or absence of an offender within a
specified range. Should the offender leave the specified range area,
the curfew violation is reported to BI's Guard Center® or the
monitoring system at the agency's site.
Key Features:
-
Superior Tamper Detection: Reliable dual tamper
detection keeps agencies informed when there is deliberate
equipment interference.
-
Flexibility: Able to function within any
monitoring schedule as determined by the agency.
-
Dependability: Uses enhanced receiver
technology, ensuring increased reception sensitivity helping to
eliminate transmission dead spots that can occur in some
residences.
-
System Integration: Operates in conjunction with
several other BI monitoring products, including SobrietorTM
remote alcohol testing and BI 9020 Drive - BI® (which allows
agency personnel to remotely monitor offenders while they are
away from the home).
BI SOBRIETORTM
Remote
Alcohol Testing and Monitoring - Now it is possible to sentence the
individuals who commit alcohol-related crimes to sobriety with the
newest multi-language alcohol monitoring technology from BI
Incorporated. With SobrietorTM, an offender can be
required to remain sober. Since monitoring is performed remotely
using a telephone connection, compliance with the alcohol
restriction is verified each and every day. Features inlcude:
-
Voice enrollment / recognition
-
On-demand field sobriety tests
-
Voice prompts for offenders
-
Reduced false alerts
-
Minimizes attempts to fool the system
-
Measures the exact Breath Alcohol Content (BrAC)
of offender
-
Precise intoxication level is reported
-
Connects via telephone line
-
Alcohol restriction verified each and every day
MITSUBISHI
MEMS 3000 MONITORING SYSTEM
The MEMS
3000
Monitoring System represents the most comprehensive electronic
monitoring solution available in the market today. The MEMS 3000
Diamond Series VBR Home Station utilizes three types of electronic
monitoring technology:
The MEMS 3000 differentiates itself from all other
monitoring systems by combining all three of these technologies into
one fully integrated unit. With its advanced software and
sophisticated technology, the MEMS 3000 Diamond Monitoring System is
the ideal corrections tool for agencies of all sizes.
The MEMS 3000 Diamond Series Home Station can be
customized to include only the electronic monitoring technology that
a corrections agency needs most. Used as a Video Display Telephone,
the MEMS 3000 plugs into an existing telephone jack in the client's
home to transmit the client's image. Its integrated Breath Alcohol
Tester can accommodate clients whose alcohol consumption must be
monitored. Using its Video Display Telephone, both the client and
the alcohol level are verified. Finally, for monitoring a client's
movement, continuous signaling may be used via the Receiver/Monitor.
The use of the MEMS 3000 family of electronic
monitoring equipment provides a positive, reliable means of ensuring
client compliance. It provides a corrections agency with an
alternative that permits the client to remain productive in society,
while meeting community requirements for punishment.
