Product Overview BI TAD is an alcohol and curfew monitoring device that will soon be available from BI Incorporated to corrections agencies nationwide. The ankle-worn device uses transdermal technology to constantly monitor whether or not an individual has been drinking. An absorption sensor rests firmly against a client’s bare ankle and monitors alcohol levels through the individual’s perspiration. If there is alcohol data to report, TAD transmits the data to a receiver in the client’s home when he or she comes within range of the receiver. Data is then reported to the central monitoring computer. TAD also monitors client curfew using traditional radio-frequency technology to detect presence or absence in the home. By providing this dual monitoring functionality, TAD virtually eliminates inventory management issues and saves officers time. Key Product Features

How does SMART®ONE - Wearable Work?
Offenders are fitted with the lightweight and tamper-resistant tracking device. The SMART®ONE uses GPS and other advanced tracking technologies to accurately track offenders and report their positions on our latest maps, including aerial imagery. Position information is collected by our Surveillance Data Center (SDC) and is accessed using our Pro Tech Client Enrollment Software. At home, the SMART®ONE – Wearable tracking unit serves as a full home detention curfew system. Our SDC records all monitoring information and provides a broad selection of standard and customized SMART®Reports. Agencies can create multiple inclusion and exclusions zones and be notified by SMS, email, fax or pager whenever a violation occurs. SMART® RF MONITORING SYSTEM
The SMART® RF Home Curfew Monitoring system utilizes Pro Tech’s state-of-the-art technology as an effective curfew compliance tool at an affordable price. The SMART® RF System is designed specifically for offender monitoring and is proven to be versatile, reliable and tamper resistant. SMART® RF utilizes Pro Tech’s ankle transmitter
together with the proven Base Unit. Offenders are fitted with a
tamper-resistant ankle bracelet and assigned a Base Unit that is
placed in the offender’s residence. The Base Unit provides a
detailed recording of all leaves and enters, as well as tamper
detection, phone line and power monitoring. The SMART® RF System
notifies supervising officers of any unauthorized events, including
curfew and bracelet violations. The Base Unit calls Pro Tech’s
Surveillance Data Center (SDC) via a landline connection
approximately every six hours or whenever a violation has been
detected. This information can be accessed at any time by utilizing

Reliable Home Curfew Monitoring With an increasing number of offenders residing in our communities, criminal justice agencies need a dependable monitoring system to help supervise offenders effectively. Product Overview The BI HomeGuard 200 electronic monitoring system is a radio frequency system that continuously verifies the presence or absence of a client at a specific location, usually the home. The receiver reports the client’s presence/absence to the monitoring computer through the client’s home phone line, which determines whether the client is adhering to or in violation of his or her authorized schedule. If the computer detects a violation, it generates an alert, and the monitoring center sends a notification through the method(s) specified by the supervising agency or officer. The HomeGuard 200 system includes BI TotalAccess®, an easy-to-use, web-based application that gives agency staff the ability to access and manage information for all enrolled participants, including violation and equipment status information. By simply logging in at www.bi.com, officers have secure, 24x7x365 access and can complete various client data entry and monitoring tasks in real-time.
Flexible & Reliable Monitoring BI designed HomeGuard with the flexibility to meet a variety of curfewmonitoring requirements. Agency configurable options allow agencies to match the monitoring rules to the risk assessment of the offender. In addition to variable range settings, HomeGuard also offers a variable leave window and unlimited schedules. The transmitter can be quickly and easily installed on the client’s ankle. It has a 12-month field-replaceable battery, as well as tamper detection throughout the unit. BI’s electronic dual tamper technology has been used to successfully monitor over four million offenders. HomeGuard offers a 48-hour backup battery, message buffer, and nonvolatile memory to provide a high level of security. Monitoring services won’t be disrupted due to power or phone failures. With HomeGuard, agencies have a radio frequency monitoring system that they can depend on to effectively manage offender compliance with community-based sanctions.
